BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Multiple weather threats face Western New York residents over the next week. There’s wind and flood advisories or warnings which News 4’s meteorologists are tracking.
They recommend the following to stay safe during the second half of WNY’s historic November storm event.

For the flood:
Stay out of flooded basements
Have utilities turned off like electricity and gas
Have a professional check things like furnaces and water heaters
If there is a gas odor, call 911

Keep flashlights and batteries handy
Use generators in open areas
Stay away from live wires
Charge cell phones in advance
