BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Much of the Southern Tier and part of Erie County may see lake snow in the middle of the week.
A Lake Snow Watch was issued for Southern Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties late Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon, but upgraded to a Warning later in the day.
Snow in some amount or another has been predicted for every day this week. Here is the forecast:
TUESDAY: Occasional Snow Showers, High: 34-38, Wind: SW8-14 pm, Low: 27
WEDNESDAY: Cloudy, Snow Showers, Lake Effect develops and shifts to the hills of the So. Tier, and also north/northeast of Buffalo, High: 30, Low: 14
THURSDAY: Snow Showers, Lake effect mainly hills of the So. Tier and northeast, Colder, High: 18, Low: 10
FRIDAY: Mostly Cloudy, Scattered Snow Showers, localized Lake Snow may shift northward toward the metro, High: 21, Low: 4
SATURDAY: Frigid temperatures along with a Bitter Wind Chill, Scattered Lake Effect Snow Showers, Breaks of Sun, High: 8, Low: -1
SUNDAY: Partly Sunny, Scattered Lake Effect Snow Showers, High: 14, Low: 9
